Workbench update – 09FEB10
Well, it’s been a long time since I last posted any project updates, mainly because I have not been doing that much. One of the hardest things for me to do lately is for me to make time to sit at the workbench and work on anything. I have attempted to spend at least an hour a day, but have not always been very successful at even doing that. With that in mind I have the following updates:
Project Pippytails
First off, I have finally picked the two pinks that I will be using. For the lighter shade, I will be using Gunze’s Mr. Color #63 and for the darker shade I will be using Gunze’s Aqueous #H19.
After taking the above test shots, I stripped the paint and did some pre-shading. I then repainted
FSD #1
Well FSD #1 is pretty much completed. The main thing left are decals and some minor items. Sorry as I do not have any pics to post.
Roman 332
Well, this is my latest F/A-18 build. So here is the project summery:

SD XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe
Well, I have actually completed something. Trust me I am as shocked as anyone that knows my building speed. This is the Gundam Deathscythe from the anime Gundam Wing. Here is an image of the actual Deathscythe from the series:
The kit that I built is the S.D., also called Super Deformed, scale version by Ban Dai. Now most Gundam kits come in pre-colored plastic, use stick on decals for the markings and are generally snap together kits. To give myself a bit of a challenge I decided to glue the kit together and clean up all the seams. I then painted the whole kit, including all the little details.
SD XXXG-01H Gundam Heavyarms
This is my second S.D. Gundam kit from the anime Gundam Wing. This one is the XXXG-01H Gundam Heavyarms. Whereas the Gundam Deathscythe is meant more for close combat the Gundam Heavyarms is a heavy assault unit.
Like my Gundam Deathscythe build I will be repainting this kit and only using the supplied decals as masks.
Well that’s all for now. As I am away from the workbench for the rest of the week, I will not be able to make any progress on any of my current builds. So, till next time….
